JAMIE TRAVIS - Agency Owner
Jamie's roots are planted deep in Creston, Iowa. With as many things going on in Jamie's world, it's a wonder he hasn't discovered how to be in two places at once. Jamie enjoys working with customers and is always willing to lend a helping hand. If he's not in the office, he's more than likely working on his family farm. In his off time, he enjoys traveling with his family, participating in Cowboy Mounted Shooting competitions, and running around with his grandson & newest best buddy, Marshall Bruce. Jamie is licensed in personal & commercial lines, life, health, and crop insurance, and is a real estate agent & broker.

TOBY HENRY - Agent 
When Toby is not at the office, he is actively volunteering to help others and spending time with his family. He spends most his weekends watching his son play baseball, his daughter dance, or his other daughter play basketball. Toby also loves spending time with his wife and keeping us all up to date on politics. He's a passionate Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan.  Toby is licensed in personal & commercial lines, as well as life insurance.​

DREW HENDERSON - Agent
​When Drew isn’t working at the office, you will find him spending time with his wife and three kids, watching them in their many different activities from football and wrestling, to dance and Cowboy Mounted Shooting. .  Drew is a Lenox, IA native.  He and his wife Mandy moved back to Creston and started working with Hometown Insurance and Realty right after graduation from Iowa State University.  Post college this is the only job Drew has had, and he loves it!  He is licensed in personal & commercial lines, as well as life insurance and real estate.

CONNOR TRAVIS - Agent

Connor is licensed in personal and commercial lines along with crop insurance. He is excited to service Creston & the surrounding areas. Connor is a Creston High School class of 2021 graduate, and while he may be young, comes to us with vast sales experience. He previously worked with AgriVision as a salesman, and has a natural knack for sales. When he's not in the office, you can find him behind the seat of any tractor on the family farm.  Connor also enjoys traveling with his wife, Alison. They are expecting their first child in March of 2026!

TRISTAN TRAVIS - Agent

Tristan comes to us from right here in Creston, Iowa, where he keeps busy selling insurance, running his own farm supply business (Travis Ag Supply), and chasing around his son & little buddy, Marshall. He is a 2019 Creston High School graduate and went on to further his education at Southwestern Community College, graduating in 2021. Not only is Tristan licensed in personal lines, he's also licensed in crop insurance, and is our go-to specialist in our Livestock Risk Protection product. When not in the office, Tristan can be found in a tree stand, on horseback, or spending time with his son, Marshall, and wife, Allivea. 

GAVIN GILLAM - Agent

Gavin Gillam is a 2020 graduate of Creston High School, coming to us with years of experience in the agricultural field. Before working at Hometown, Gavin was an operator for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Creston. In 2025, Gavin took a few "leaps of faith," starting his own agricultural drone spraying business (Gillam Ag Solutions), becoming an insurance agent, and - most importantly - becoming a Dad to his son, Jay. Gavin loves the outdoors, and can be found bow hunting or in a tractor if he's not in the office. He married Jamie's daughter, Maddie, in 2023, and is enjoying building a life together with her. Gavin is licensed in personal lines.

AMY CONKLIN - Agent & Customer Service Representative

Last, but certainly not least, is our "Chaos Coordinator," Amy Conklin. Amy grew up in Michigan and moved her family to Iowa with her husband, Clay, in 2016. She loves chasing her son, Collin, as he plays high school sports, and supporting her daughter, Kyleigh, in everything she does at Iowa State University and beyond. Together, Kyleigh and Amy own & operate Cowboy Twists Pretzels, and Amy can often be seen helping Kyleigh with her online boutique, Naejae & Co. Amy truly lights up any room she walks into and, thanks to her, our clients often leave with smiles on their faces. Amy is licensed in personal lines.
